  • Role of Family Mediator. While growing up and possibly even now, you feel as if you have to be the family referee, constantly hearing everyone’s grievances while remaining neutral so as not to upset anyone
  • The Helper. You are a natural helper which you’ve found can feel both positive and draining. You’re interested in learning how to find more balance.
  • High expectations for perfection. Maybe you always had to be “on point” growing up (the A student, star athlete, or “perfectly” behaved). Or maybe these high expectations of self are self-induced. Either way, you are feeling overwhelm or are hard on yourself if you feel you’ve made a mistake.
  • Guilt for saying no happens. You have noticed you take on task after task (many times for other people, at the expense of your own peace!), and found that the guilt of saying no is a theme in your life. You’re ready to figure out the best way to still help, but also honor your needs.
  • Unpredictability was present. Commonly, unpredictability in upbringing is disregarded. But growing up in a home where there was substance abuse, domestic violence, and unpredictable anger can impact the way you operate in the now. You’re ready to explore if this is the case for you.
